Commercial Trailer Tires

Regular tire replacement is essential to maintaining a commercial trailer’s safety and efficiency on the road.

Tires are subject to wear and tear due to constant use, exposure to changing weather conditions, and the weight they carry.

Neglecting to replace worn-out tires can jeopardize the safety of drivers, vehicles, and the cargo they transport.

The consequences of not having regular tire replacement on a commercial trailer can result in:

  • Tire blowouts
  • Reduced fuel efficiency
  • Decreased maneuverability
  • Increased chances of skidding or hydroplaning on wet surfaces.

Regular tire replacements are crucial to ensure the safe and cost-effective transportation of goods.

Commercial Trailer Wheel Alignment

Performing a wheel alignment on a commercial trailer is a crucial aspect of maintaining safety on the road.

This process involves adjusting the angles of the wheels so that they are parallel to each other and perpendicular to the ground.

Specialized equipment, such as lasers and alignment machines, are utilized to perform the alignment.

Additional components like shims may also be needed to adjust the alignment.

If a wheel alignment is not performed, various issues may arise, such as:

  • Uneven tire wear
  • Poor handling
  • Increased fuel consumption

Overall, taking the time to have your trailer’s wheels aligned can significantly benefit both the vehicle and its occupants.

Trailer Door, Hinge & Latch Repair

When working on commercial trailers, fixing a door hinge, a door, or a door latch may seem simple. However, it involves quite a bit of technical knowledge and skill.

These repairs require a good amount of attention to detail and the proper tools and replacement parts, such as:

  • Door hinges
  • Door handles
  • Bolts
  • Pins
  • Latch assemblies

If these repairs are not done correctly, there could be several problems that could arise.

A poorly functioning door hinge could result in a door that doesn’t close securely, causing potential safety hazards on the road.

Similarly, issues with door latches can impact the trailer’s integrity, leading to further damage or even theft.

To ensure that these repairs are done correctly, it’s essential to seek the help of a skilled professional who has experience working on commercial trailers.

In addition to welding and sanding equipment, repair professionals may use components such as cross members, braces, and panels.

Failing to complete these repairs correctly can lead to various problems, from cosmetic issues to structural instability that could compromise the safety of the trailer and its cargo.

To avoid these concerns, working with experienced professionals who understand the complexities of commercial trailer repair and have a deep knowledge of all the parts and materials involved is crucial.

Trailer Lift Gate Repair

When diagnosing and repairing a lift gate on a commercial trailer, several steps are involved in the process.

First, the technician must determine which lift gate parts must be repaired or replaced. This can include the hydraulic system, motor, cables, or control box.

Once the problem has been identified, the technician will typically remove and replace the faulty parts and test the lift gate to ensure it is functioning properly.

If a liftgate is not properly repaired, it can prevent the trailer from being loaded or unloaded correctly, resulting in delays and lost revenue.

In the worst-case scenario, a faulty liftgate can cause an accident, posing a safety risk to the user, driver, and other motorists.

It is important to have any liftgate issues addressed promptly to prevent further damage and ensure that your commercial trailer operates safely and efficiently.

Trailer DOT Inspection

DOT inspections of commercial trailers are a crucial part of ensuring safety on the roads.

During an inspection, several trailer components are checked, including:

  • The braking system
  • Tires
  • Lights
  • Suspension

These inspections are meant to identify any potential safety hazards and ensure that repairs are made in a timely manner.

If a trailer is not inspected, it could pose a danger to other drivers on the road.

In addition, if a problem is identified during an inspection and not addressed, it could result in significant fines or even the trailer being taken out of service until the repairs are made.

Commercial trailer owners need to stay up to date on inspections and address any issues promptly to ensure the safety of all those on the road.

What Our Customers Are Saying About Us

I had a roadside breakdown on I-70 due to a coolant fitting failure. They were easy to work with and the tech had made this same repair previously on other trucks. The fitting is one that connects the engine head to heater core. They had to stop by a Paccar dealership (in Dayton?) to get the part and then make the roadside repair. They gave me a price estimate before heading my way and the final bill was somewhat less since I didn’t need as much coolant as estimated. Easy to work with, I would recommend them and use them again myself – if needed. My only complaint was that they didn’t open until 8a. I would’ve given 5 stars if they could have rolled at 6a. The parts dept at Paccar opened at 7a so it wasn’t a huge impact on the schedule.

I had a bad miss on my Volvo VN with a Volvo D13 engine in it. They had the software to diagnose the problem and were able to replace the bad injector. I was back on the road the same day. Last time I had this problem I took it to a Volvo dealer, and they took a week before e they would even look at it.

Truck Service

My family and I have been traveling for the past 3 weeks in the RV. We have had terrible luck up until this point with our RV. Needless to say, many tows and service repair work. This business has gone above and beyond. They were completely understand, sympathetic, and willing to help until they figured out what the problem was! We had our dogs, kids, cat, and extended family there with us all day. There were no problems with that. We felt comfortable and at ease here! I would highly recommend this shop to anyone. The quality, communication, and price was just what we needed! Thank you to all who helped!
